Wednesday Night Lesson: Your Loneliness and God’s Presence- He’ll See me Through

Isaiah 43 says, “”When you go through deep waters and great troubles, I will be with you.  When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.”  God will not let you sink.  He will help you and will see you through.  Even when you feel crushed and you can’t even put one foot in front of the other the good news is God is with you.  He is not crushed.  He doesn’t throw in the towel.

Psalm 118 testifies, ““The Lord stopped my tears and He kept me from defeat so I walk in the presence of the Lord.  I kept on believing even when I felt I’m completely crushed.”  How do you stop the tears?  You walk in the presence of the Lord.  He gives you the strength to keep going.

Stress studies have learned is the most stress a person will go through is the death of a spouse.  The second most stressful activity is the divorce from a spouse.  Most women outlast men in marriage by nine years.  So, some of you out there reading is this are very alone or will be alone.  You need to prepare for it.  Become best friends with Jesus Christ so that when it happens God will not seem like a stranger to you.

God is present in your life.  He is all around you and if you are a believer, He’s in you, but you must tune into him in order for Him to see you through.

  1. Have you ever heard the song “When You Walk Through the Water” by Allison Durham? It’s based on the Scripture you used above. Powerful Scripture and powerful song!
